What's the difference between cable news and pro wrestling? One is a slickly-produced artificial construct, a pageant of arbitrary heroes and villains based off of demographic appetites, a compelling if simplistic (and cynical) dramatic narrative that continually ups the ante, dazzles with smoke and lights and never lets logic, reality or common sense get in the way of a good ratings-delivering story.
